Subscriber Pages
This page is dedicated to our subscribers. Our main objective is to help our subscribers use the analysis program and accompanying manuals in the most efficient and effective manner possible. This is going to be an evolving page which, over time, will address the concerns of our subscribers. Our primary source of direction will come from our subscribers, so if you do have problems, please check here first to see if we may have already addressed your concerns. If not, please do not hesitate to call us. We enjoy talking to our subscribers and take great pride in helping you achieve your objectives, whatever they may be.
Please keep in mind one very important fact. We don't care what the question might be. If it has anything to do with selecting or reselling accounting software, even though the question might not apply directly to The Accounting Library, we will try our best to help you. That's a promise!
This page has been divided and formatted along the same lines as the Frequently Asked Questions page whereby the "questions" will be summarized not unlike a mini table of contents so that you can review the subject matter before wasting time looking for help that isn't there. If we don't seem to address a specific question, please give us a call.
General Comments
Numerical Requirements
While it is important to make sure the products being analyzed will meet a user's numerical requirements (Account field sizes, numbers of segments etc.), these requirements are treated by the analysis program as Pass/Fail in that a product will be eliminated even if it fails to meet just one numerical requirement. Given the graphical nature of most of these products as well as the ability to increase field sizes fairly easily, we suggest that you analyze numerical requirements separately.
This will require that you create two needs definition files: one containing your functional requirements and the other your numerical requirements.
In addition, rather than running an "analysis" where products will be eliminated, we suggest that you compare your numerical requirements against the products in which you have an interest by selecting the REPORTS | LIST QUESTIONS option. The program will display a listing of all products. Select the products in which you have an interest and the program will display the comparison, but without eliminating any products. If a product does not meet your requirements, you can then query the vendor or reseller.
