Finally the program will help you find a product specific reseller in your geographic region.

If you want to base your search on more questions than those listed in the Power Search options to the right, just upgrade to the Advanced Search feature.

What you do now is completely up to you, but the underlying objective of any software selection project is always the same:

  1. Identify best suited accounting and ERP solutions and
  2. Make a connection with a product expert so you can move your software selection project forward.

Although you could immediately begin the process of reviewing the information for each product in which you have an interest, let’s quickly review some basic concepts.

Quick Research Functions

If you do not want to create a requirements document, the Quick Research Functions might be just what you need.

Power Search

An initial set of four questions located to the right are designed as a starting point for your search. In essence this is the first cut. It makes no sense for you to be looking at products that do not meet your most fundamental requirements.

  1. Answer these four questions, select Click here to Continue and the system will display an initial list of Recommended Products.
  2. This initial list of Recommended Products might not make a lot of sense as you have defined only four, very generalized questions that have nothing to do with a product’s functionality.
  3. Define what modules you want in your new accounting or ERP system and/or
  4. Define your need for a product that meets the requirements of firms in a specific industry.
  5. As you complete the questions regarding modules or industries, the system will display an updated Recommended Products list.

One of the limitations of the Power Search functions is that your requirements list is only temporary. When you quit the program, all of your requirements and resulting list of Recommended Products will be lost. Given this, we would highly recommend that you upgrade to the Advanced Search functions.

Advanced Search

The Advanced Search option gives you the ability to define your requirements in detail and really differentiate one product from another.

The Advanced Search option also gives you the ability to create and save any number of Requirements Documents and return later to do more work.

Recommended Products

As you define your requirements, the system will display a list of Recommended Products based on how well each product meets your requirements. As you change your requirements going forward, the list of Recommended Products will change.

The list of Recommended Products gives you the ability to

  • Learn more about any product in which you have an interest.
  • Learn more about third party (ISV) solutions and services that further enhance the core accounting or ERP system.
  • Connect with product specific resellers that can help you move your software selection project forward.

If you receive an error message "Sorry, no products match your requirements. Please adjust your requirements and try again.", this just means your requirements are too restricting. Price is normally the issue, but it could be any requirement or even a series of requirements that you have rated as Critical. Review and update your requirements and run the analysis again.

Certified Products

Some vendors have opted to participate in our Certified Products program and they are displayed under this menu. Solutions meets with these vendors on a regular basis and reviews in detail their responses to the RFI (functionality) questions that drive the product analysis functions.
