There are actually two different versions of The Accounting Software Library.
The CD Edition and The On-Line Edition
The CD Edition is the product we have been selling for 18+ years. You will receive our needs analysis program as well as a comprehensive set of printed manuals that will literally take you by the hand and lead you through the entire process from the point where you are today to the point where the new system has been fully implemented.
The On-Line Edition, released in early 2009 is a FREE service that supports more of a power search of products in our database to assist users identify best suited products. Rather than utilizing the 2,500 features found in the Standard Edition or the 3,700 questions in the Enterprise and Modifiable Editions.
In actual practice, the On-Line Edition can be used in conjunction with the CD Edition in that once you have completed your detailed analysis utilizing the CD Edition, you can use the On-Line Edition to assist you learn more about each product in which you have an interest, learn more about ISV products that integrate with the mainline accounting products, and even find a reseller or software selection consultant in your geographic region.
The CD Edition is a fee-based product with four different purchase options.

The On-Line Edition contains about 700 key questions in the following categories:
