About the Online Accounting Software Selection Tool

Solutions was founded in 1987 to assist organizations increase their profitability through improved organizational effectiveness. As the PC accounting industry began to grow, so did Solutions. The Accounting Software Library, a natural outgrowth of our business improvement specialty, was first published in 1990 as a DOS-based software selection program. A Windows version was introduced in 1995, and has been expanded and improved significantly each year. Currently 150+ products are featured in our databases with new products being added each year. While our initial thrust was directed at the PC accounting industry, we have expanded our product line to include the entire industry from QuickBooks to Oracle, PeopleSoft and SAP.

Charles C. Chewning, Jr.

Owner and Publisher of The Accounting Software Library

Charles Chewning, Jr. is the publisher of The Accounting Library, one of the leading software selection tools available to end users, consultants and accounting software resellers. He is also the Industry Analyst for Technology Evaluation Center's Accounting Software Comparison Center which is based on The Accounting Library. Finally Mr. Chewning is the developer of the Collections Management Solution for Dynamics NAV (formerly Navision), a powerful add-in tool designed specifically to manage the collection of overdue accounts.

Mr. Chewning is president of Solutions, a Richmond, Virginia-based consulting firm specializing in accounting software selection. Mr. Chewning has written a number of accounting software reviews and is a frequent speaker on the subject of accounting software selection as well as sales and marketing of accounting software. Mr. Chewning primarily consults with middle-market companies selecting accounting software, but also has on-going contracts with vendors to assist them in product development and reseller development.
